2.1 Eligibility. Any person who believes on and has accepted the Lord Jesus Christ as his personal Savior, who is endeavoring to follow Him in his daily life, and who subscribes to the Statement of Faith of Lake Country Church shall be eligible for membership. Romans 5:12-17, Philippians 3:9, Ephesians 4:11-16, 1 Corinthians 12:12-14, 1 Peter 5:1-5
2.2 Requirements for Membership Recognition.
2.2.1 A personal experience of salvation by grace through faith in Jesus Christ.
2.2.2 A personal commitment to the Lordship of Jesus Christ in their life.
2.2.3 Agreement with the Statement of Faith of Lake Country Church.
2.2.4 Submission to the decisions, vision, and direction established by the Elders of Lake Country Church. A commitment to work out problems or disagreement through communication and love. Acceptance and support of the decisions of the Elder Board on issues of disagreement that are not sin or violations of the law.
2.2.5 Completion of the New Membership Class in good standing.
2.2.6 Financially supportive of the church and its ministries.
2.2.7 Spiritually supportive of the vision and ministries of Lake Country Church.
2.3 Application. Admission to membership in Lake Country Church shall be initiated by the person desiring membership. Application for membership shall be made on the forms provided by the church.
2.4 Review of Membership. Periodic review of the member roles shall be done by the church staff to maintain current records. Members who no longer meet the requirements for membership as outlined in Article 2.2 will be removed from the member roles.
2.5 Privileges of Membership. Association with the work of God and the ministries of the church, voting on the business of the church in accordance with the provisions of these by-laws.
2.5.1 To be eligible to vote on congregational voting issues, a member must be 18 years of age or older.
2.6 Termination of Membership. Termination of membership shall be accomplished in one of the following ways:
2.6.1 By the members request.
2.6.2 By transfer of membership to another church.
2.6.3 By determination of the Board of Elders, or their representative, for good and sufficient cause.
2.6.4 By failure to continue to meet the requirements of Membership outlined in Article 2.2.
2.6.5 By death.
